About the Founder – Aman Goyal (Appuz)

Aman Goyal, known in the trade as “Appuz”, has been active in the jewelry line since 2011. In 2011 he moved from Punjab to Jaipur to study Gemology at IIGJ, Sitapura, Jaipur, and in 2012, after completing the course, he started his own proprietary retail business in Sangrur, Punjab (148001) under the name GD Jewels.

As the business grew, in 2016 a new showroom was opened in the same market area on a different rented location and the retail brand was re‑named Appuz Jewellers. This showroom still operates today as Appuz Jewellers, SCO 5, Qila Market, Banasar Enclave, Sangrur, managed by his elder brother.

Coming from a non‑jewelry family, Aman chose to build his own path in this industry purely through learning and hard work. At IIGJ Jaipur he focused deeply on practical training – gemstones, grading and manufacturing – and even with limited English at that time, he performed at a top level in hands‑on work. That technical foundation still guides the quality standards followed under the Appuz name.

By running GD Jewels and later Appuz Jewellers in Punjab, Aman gained real experience with customers, designs, pricing and daily retail operations. However, during the Covid‑19 (Corona‑19) period, the retail business was hit so hard that almost everything had to be sold – house, car and even family gold – and there were days when arranging money just for basic food was difficult. Even in that phase, he did not give up on the jewelry line or his long‑term vision.

After Covid, Aman shifted fully to Jaipur and decided to rebuild from zero through manufacturing and export. He started a new company in Jaipur under the name Lord of Gems, at A‑11, Second Floor, Goswami Bhavan, Gopal Ji Ka Rasta, Johri Bazaar, Jaipur. Later, on the advice of an astrologer, only the name of this company was changed to Appuz – the place, structure and work remained the same. Today, this Jaipur‑based company works locally and in documents under the Appuz name.

In this rebuilding phase, his wife also stood strongly beside him. After moving to Jaipur, she studied day and night, cleared her exams and joined SSG Pareek College, Jaipur as an English professor, where she still teaches. Her support, stable income and belief in the vision helped Aman focus again on manufacturing, export and brand building instead of quitting the line.
